I have to talk to M this afternoon about conference attendance and I DON'T WANT TO!!!
I can't get into the details right now but in a nutshell, I want to go to something, and he may or may not be okay with it.
I am not a happy camper.
I doubt I will be able to concentrate for the rest of the day.

You gotta ask him! It's almost certainly not a big deal to him like it feels like to you, so take a deep breath and move on with your worries. I wish I could give you a hug.

Just go do it poop. Worse comes to worst, he says, "I don't know," and you tell him how short they are. Don't worry so much.
